Want to work with one of America's most trusted news brands? The NBC News Digital team is a force of creativity, collaboration and premium journalism, and we're currently looking to hire a Newsroom Coordinator to join our rapidly expanding team. This Newsroom Coordinator will work closely with the SVP for Global Digital News, the Executive Editor of NBC News Digital and the Executive Editor of Digital Video Productions to provide daily administrative support, including the scheduling of meetings, travel arrangements and expense reports. As Newsroom Coordinator, you will also work closely with editorial leaders across teams to standardize and execute the onboarding of new reporters, producers, editors to ensure that staffers have the right equipment to do their jobs, the proper tools and logins during their first few weeks with NBC. You will also be in charge of maintaining office supplies, help assist during major news events, such as Election night, communicate digital's plans with other divisions of NBC News, and coordinate our awards submissions.

The Newsroom Coordinator will be a key contributor to daily newsroom operations while having the opportunity to regularly pitch and write stories and work on ongoing projects across editorial teams. The ideal candidate will be a highly-organized self starter with strong communication skills and a desire to jump into a fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Provide administrative support for News Digital leadership team, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reports and new hire onboarding
• Work closely with the SVP for Global Digital News, the Executive Editor of NBC News Digital and the Executive Editor of Digital Video Productions on scheduling and staff communication
• Work on special projects across news digital editorial teams
• Provide editorial and administrative support to teams across the newsroom, specifically for tentpole events (2022 Midterm Elections, Awards Ceremonies, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in communication, journalism or a similar relevant field of study or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• 1+ year with writing experience; news experience is a plus
• Exceptional and proven knowledge of grammar and AP Style

Additional Requirements:
• The job is based in the headquarters of NBC News in 30

Rock, and the candidate must be willing to work in the New

York office according to the schedule set by NBCUniversal.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19

vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated,

submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days

following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the

commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced

protocols if Company determines your job position requires
