Responsibilities
''Meet the Press with Chuck Todd'' and ''Meet the Press Reports'' seek an associate producer with exceptional editorial skills, creativity, a demonstrated expertise in covering politics, and strong tape, digital and social skills.
Job Duties
• Work with editors and graphic artists to produce packages, edit tape elements and develop graphics
• Generate and pitch show ideas and program guests for ''Meet the Press'' and ''Meet the Press Reports''
• Gather sound and assist with ''Meet the Press'' and ''Meet the Press Reports'' spots
• Produce guest research and write questions for ''Meet the Press'' moderator
• Help coordinate media coverage during breaking news
• Shoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms, and elements for broadcast
• Track and edit breaking news video and notify control room/line producer
• Edit show promos, early release clips and other show franchises
• Assist with show archiving
• Edit and socialize breakout clips for ''Meet the Press'' portfolio
• Assist with podcast production for ''The Chuck ToddCast'' and other audio projects
- Pitch and book guests for ''Meet the Press Reports''
• Write, research and produce segments for ''Meet the Press Reports''
Qualifications/Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience in research and news
production
• At least 3 years of tape, field and editing experience
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
• Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the
United States
• Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part
of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and
holidays as required
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19
vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated,
submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days
following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the
commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced
protocols if Company determines your job position
requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19
workplace safety policies and protocols.
