JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News Live DC is hiring a Producer with extensive experience producing news for television. As a Producer Fox News Live DC, you have excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of national politics. You are able to write with urgency, style, brevity, and deliver substantial news in a highly produced environment. You will work with anchors and reporters to advance stories and quickly turn around breaking news.
You will be offered the following shift: Wednesday - Sunday.
A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use your knowledge of current events, national politics, and strong editorial judgment to pitch newsmaker and informative guest interviews
• Lead booking team for the show
• Actively seeking out the freshest elements for story selection, including finding compelling sound, new video, and utilize strong graphics to help illustrate the story
• Use your control room experience to help execute a seamless show on air, including formatting program rundowns, and communicating effectively with technical staff
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of political reporting in a broadcast, print, or digital work environment
• Exceptional editorial judgment
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis, especially in breaking news situations
• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, including regular weekend work
• Willingness to travel when necessary

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $74,000.00-104,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
