Is this the role for you?
As Digital Localisation and Production Lead you will be responsible for localising, versioning and delivering a pipeline of content for MTV and Comedy Central internationally. Managing video editors and working closely with a coordinator and external agencies, your team's tasks will also include original production of brand support content, such as scene lifts and compilations. You will work closely with the Digital Brand Lead, their team, and other stakeholders to respond to global priority and multi-region content needs for all markets.
What will you be doing?
• Manage all stages of the localisation workflow from initial video production (where needed), to translation, versioning, quality control, delivery, and utilisation tracking.
• Directly responsible for managing a team of editors and a coordinator.
• Manage relationships with translation providers and other external resources, such as freelancers and agencies.
• Collaborate successfully with peers and stakeholders across the business to build efficient production workflows.
• Develop effective working relationships with local teams in all relevant markets.
• Build an understanding of specific local content needs, preferences, cultural sensitivities and nuances, and capture and track these in a localisation style guide.
• Ensure all localised content is being delivered on time to a high standard, in line with editorial and technical specification, reviewing and signing off videos.
• Manage and track budget for all localisation and edit projects.
• Identify ways to improve and innovate the content pipeline to deliver against KPIs.
• Optimise resources and smoothly scale up localisation, production and delivery of content when required.
What are we looking for?
• A localisation project manager or senior executive with experience working across digital video content for multiple platforms.
• Team management experience.
• Skilled or fluent in multiple languages (such as German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese or LATAM Spanish) is a bonus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and experience with video QC.
• Experience working with multiple global teams and stakeholders.
• Skilled managing budgets.
• Ability to work across many genres, with experience in entertainment and a passion for pop culture.
• An obsession with social media and an understanding of core platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Stories, TikTok and Snapchat.
• Great at building relationships with agencies and freelancers.
• Experience of managing and prioritising a large pipeline of edits.
• Ability to act decisively and see projects through from inception to completion and multi-task under time constraints and pressure.
• A problem solver and calm under pressure. Ability to understand a production challenge and come up with workflows to respond successfully.
