You will provide a proactive, commercial, and strategic partnership with senior business leads based at our Adelaide Studio. You will drive the people planning process, focusing on organizational change, employee relations and engagement, DE&I, performance management, talent attraction and retention.

You will operate as a strategic business partner to develop and deliver (individually and via the team) the full spectrum of HR services, products and systems that drive business performance. You will ensure that key tactical and strategic HR initiatives and interventions are fully supported, well planned and have successful outcomes in business teams. You will be adept at translating global programs into local delivery that is fit for business purposes.

This role reports to APAC's Vice President of HR, focused on our Adelaide Studio. You will be part of a global team of HR experts that partner with and support over 11,000 employees in 11 countries.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and drive people plans, including alignment with global HR plans and processes.
• Analyze data to determine trends and areas for improvement and recommend and/or implement appropriate strategies.
• Strategize and develop plans for staff retention efforts.
• Partner with HR leads in Centers of Expertise & HR Operations teams to generate new ideas, support program development and implementation, and promote HR initiatives to the organization.
• Lead on any restructuring activity required.
• Proactive lead in talent management, succession planning and influence for broader diversity, equity, and inclusion within client groups.
• Lead in performance and potential calibration to identify gaps and ensure internal talent pipelines are in place for all key roles.
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to attract, hire and retain diverse talents with the right capability, creativity, and leadership.
• Work with the wider People & Culture team to understand current and emerging policy and statutory requirements.
• Coach and support team leads to manage informal and formal people-related issues to achieve successful outcomes.
• Take the lead in complex and sensitive employee relations issues.
• Ensure action planning is in place to improve engagement in teams.

Required Skills and Experience
• Demonstrable HR background and experience in shaping and managing change.
• Proven knowledge and practical application of HR practices and global employment laws in Australia.
• Proven track record in leading restructuring programs.
• Ability to develop strong working relations at all levels.
• Ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
• Experience in working closely with senior leadership teams and driving effective performance in all areas of the role.
• Experience dealing with change initiatives and contributing to wider change projects.
• Experience in the VFX industry is desirable but not essential.
