The Crew Manager manages all aspects of the career development program (from recruitment and onboarding, through show crewing, career progression, and departure), execute strategies for talent retention and improve the employee experience. Your contribution will have an impact on the success and growth of the Crew and the Studio.

Under the direction of the Head of Studio and working closely with HR, Production, Workforce and Recruitment, we contribute to the timely and efficient completion of the shows.

Responsibilities
• Resource management
o
Oversee and forecast the headcount for the disciplines you manage
o Resource shows with the best crewing options, manage resources and staffing through schedules in order to achieve the best cross-project allocation
o Ensure teams are well balanced in terms of experience, levels and skillsets in order to maximize efficiency and provide for all productions
o Responsible for succession planning to ensure key vacancies can be filled from within the company
o Manage and relay upcoming opportunities, as well as contract renewals, extensions, and terminations as needed
• Identify vacancies and priorities to the recruitment team and support them to ensure the right candidates are hired
• Mobility within the group: Coordinate process of loans/transfers from/to other Mikros and Technicolor entities
• Key role in Onboarding/Offboarding process
• Performance review cycle: along with each show's supervision and production teams, conduct a high volume of performance reviews, delivering effective feedback and constructive criticism
• People leadership: act as first point of contact for crew on contractual matters, career development, project allocation, and any training needs
• Improve programs, processes, tools and reporting efficiency for crew planning and strategy meetings
• Identify solutions to retain and develop Talents
*Successful relationship to HR is mandatory for successful rollout.

• Organizational skills – personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key
• Communication skills – ability to lead a team, managing diverse personalities and viewpoints; the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others is vital
• Role modelling – demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of an organization
• Professional expertise – A strong working knowledge of employment issues, best practice processes, as well as experience of employee relations
• Coaching and mentoring – Whether senior leaders, junior colleagues or middle management, you will be proficient in developing skills in your talent

• Detail orientated, highly motivated and able to prioritize and take initiative in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines

• Speak fluent English and French
• Comfortable with MS Office Suite, Google Suite

Assets:
• Be familiar with the HR procedures and Quebec Immigration
• Proven experience in Production/HR/Operations, preferably in CG or Tech
• Knowledge of scheduling software
