Job Description
The Miami Marlins seek a rising, progressive-thinking accounting professional to join our team based at loanDepot park. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for all AP-related functions, including the day-to-day operation of an automated cloud-based invoice system. This individual will gain invaluable experience in the sport industry while having the opportunity to impact our baseball, business, and foundation operations with their desire to simplify, automate, and drive results.

Essential Functions:
• Processing of accounts payable invoices in accordance with Concur Invoice workflow functions
• Verification of invoices for support, correct GL coding, authorization, and approval in accordance with SAP Concur workflow processes
• Propose invoices for payment based on aging and invoice terms and prepare and process weekly check run, including expense reports and ACH payments
• Prepare weekly Expense Management report
• Provide strategic input in relation to vendor spend and potential optimization opportunities
• Update weekly cash disbursement worksheets
• Research transactions and verify invoice terms against contracts or statements of work
• Review aging reports, statements and follow up with vendors
• Support & train new employees on automated paperless system
• Participate in the month-end closing process by assisting with accruals and updating various reconciliations
• Complete year-end 1099 Reporting
• Assist with Year-end audit & tax preparation
• Other special projects & analysis

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience in heavy volume A/P processing a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft GP or Oracle NetSuite, and SAP Concur experience a plus
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to enforce controls and procedures
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
