Amazon MGM Studios is the home for talent, creating and producing Original films and television series for a global audience. Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video, in addition to producing Original content for Freevee, Amazon's premium free streaming service.

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced, innovative, creative and passionate leader for the Social Marketing Lead - YA Genre role.

The Social Marketing Lead - YA leads the global social marketing team for the critically important YA Genre slate of films and series. They are responsible for developing and executing smart, ground-breaking, highly creative and inventive social marketing campaigns for their assigned titles. They develop the YA social marketing strategies globally, setting a high-bar for innovation, passion and operational excellence. They must be true social experts in the YA-genre space, developing the right content capture strategies and executing best-in-class social creative and community management. They must have deep expertise with global, avid YA fanbases, with experience launching YA-tentpole titles with and without known IP. They have a true finger on the pulse of YA culture and social trends on a daily – if not hourly – basis. They are responsible for social strategy, social creative development, social listening analytics, community management and social innovation including AR/VR/IRL and paid media social products for their slate of YA titles.

The Social Marketing Lead - YA is a leader, inspiring and leading their team for a subset of Amazon Studios' slate. Reporting directly into the Global Head of Social & Influencer Marketing for Amazon Studios, they collaboratively act as a stakeholder across marketing globally, ensuring the highest standards for consistency and quality are maintained to drive viewership and attract YA customers to Prime Video.

The optimal leader for this role will have experience leading social marketing teams as well as building deep partnerships with global platform partnerships, thus are able to fluidly shift from analytical discussions to strategy to operational to creative. They serve as one of the key points of contact for the social marketing campaigns globally, so their strategic judgment, creative acumen, awareness of industry trends and ability to think big must be robust, especially within the YA genre space.

Finally, the ideal candidate must thrive operating in a startup environment, where leaders are owners, wear multiple hats, and effortlessly think and act both strategically and tactically - from the development of broad strategic ideas to reactive, on-the-fly social strategies.

Key job responsibilities
Social Vision & Leadership
• Oversee the social marketing campaigns across a multitude of YA Titles, including complex and business critical Amazon MGM Studios titles.
• Guide the creation of world-class, break-through social marketing strategies that support and reinforce Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video's position as a YA destination within the streaming marketplace, in keeping with the business and marketing strategy for the brand.
• Develop creative, inventive YA-centered campaigns that inspire our customers while driving awareness and viewership.
• Lead a team with strong strategic thinking to ideate and develop innovative, effective, and award-winning social marketing experiences to drive customers to Amazon Prime Video.
• Effectively direct and manage their team to the highest standards through the development of all social marketing assets and influencer experiences for the full Amazon MGM Studios slate with a large degree of autonomy.
• Raise the bar on social marketing strategies and tactics globally. Provide oversight for the team responsible for implementing this vision and strategy across all international Prime Video territories.
• Embrace performance data, and refine future social marketing campaigns based on these insights.
• Contribute to and lead campaign reviews and presentations, while successfully presenting social marketing concepts to executive producers/filmmakers, talent and senior management. Influence business and creative decisions.
• Forge external relationships to bring the most exceptional freelancers and vendors to projects as needed.
• Have a strong point of view and vision along with a clear, concise ability to provide direction to internal and external partners.
• Strong people management and coaching skills to provide clear strategic and creative direction and to motivate and inspire creative teams.
• Think big. Drive new ideas that lead to innovative social marketing programs and events to support launches.
• Work closely with senior leadership to create policies, procedures, best practices and formalize mechanisms that impact the broader department.

Business Acumen
• Drive the social campaign management, producing work cost effectively and on schedule.
• Communicate with key stakeholders internally, including but not limited to – PR, media, brand, department heads, strategy heads, creative, international leadership, cross-functional marketing teams, Studios leadership and the Prime Video group as well as externally, including filmmakers, show runners, executive producers and partner agencies, in a spirit of collaboration, building strong relationships and earning trust.
• Hire and develop the best.
• Work with key stakeholders to drive a schedule for projects while prioritizing and using resources effectively, communicating needs and trade-offs if the schedule is at risk.
• Optimize budgets, campaign calendars and resource allocations for social marketing major campaign beats and assignments.
• Proactively work to solve problems and communicate with external and internal stakeholders, making high-quality judgment calls when there is ambiguity.

- Experience working cross-functionally and driving decision making among stakeholders with competing goals
- Experience with various types of research methodologies is key, including quant, qual, 1P & 3P data, trend analysis & forecasting, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a
