Job Description
Amazon MGM Studios is the home for talent, creating and producing Original films and television series for a global audience. Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video, in addition to producing Original content for Freevee, Amazon's premium free streaming service.

As Sr. Digital Asset Manager for the Amazon MGM Studios Marketing team, you'll help define and deploy best-practices, tools, standards, and workflows to support a growing slate of the world's best content. As an asset management leader you'll partner with campaign managers, creatives, producers, content security, metadata experts and engineers to develop and manage large-scale digital asset libraries. You'll expand and improve knowledge management, asset access, and support mechanisms. You'll dive deep into current processes and tools, and think big about ways to scale, streamline, and continuously improve customer experiences.

The Sr. Digital Asset Manager is:
* An asset management mentor, educator, and facilitator for the entire Marketing organization
* A key partner to for teams focused on DAM product development & management, creative asset creation, localization, campaign operations, etc. in optimizing workflows and improving asset management processes
* An accomplished asset management expert who is equally comfortable spearheading teams, tools, and processes

Key job responsibilities
* Supervision and mentoring of asset managers working closely with creatives, producers, and campaign managers to ensure asset management requirements are met
* Asset library management, including metadata operations and strategy, access and control mechanisms, and archive practices
* DAM tool end-user support, and related contributions to comms, reporting, and knowledge base development
* Training for Campaign Management team and partners on Asset Management best practices
* Support of enterprise content security standards
* Working cross-functionally with studio and production tech to develop, test, and deploy best-of-breed tools
* Workflow support for VAM metadata localization, metadata/avails submission, and asset delivery into the Amazon MGM Studios Catalog
* Curating collections of final assets to global marketing partners
* Establishing best practices for managing DAM access, and ongoing management of roles and permissions

A day in the life
As an agile multitasker, you'll manage projects with multiple deliverables and ensure deadlines are met across teams and key stakeholders. You'll set the standard for asset workflows and metadata practices, and ensure campaign teams have frictionless access to the assets they need. You'll likely supervise staff who have cross-functional responsibilities such as product ownership of asset management tools, administration of access and permissions, and working with product management on a backlog of optimizations. You'll help develop a rich knowledge based of SOPs, technical specs, and training materials, and will be a point person for support and training global stakeholders. As a credible voice for excellence in asset management, you are a leader, a collaborator, and an excellent communicator.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years working in digital asset management or media engineering
- Working knowledge of common industry metadata standards and file formats
- Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.)
- Previous experience with metadata schema development & input, organizing a large amount of files, high-resolution file transmissions (FTP, servers, etc.), file naming conventions, and database reporting
- Experience administering DAMs with an emphasis on managing creative marketing assets within other creative industries like advertising and entertainment marketing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or other advanced degree in Library Science, Film & Television Production, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and marketing/studios counterparts to deliver products/services
- Deep knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices
- Proven experience with MAM/DAM management, digital media workflow orchestration, and related tools/technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
