Job Description

Burbank entertainment marketing agency is seeking a part time assistant to the Accounting/HR Manager. This role requires an understanding of non-union production workflows and the ability to manage production associated cost reporting and accounting as well as general bookkeeping responsibilities. This position is currently 20-25 hours per week with a flexible, regular schedule and potential for additional hours in the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Budget Management: Maintain and track production and post production budgets. Monitor actual costs against budget forecasts and provide timely variance analyses. Assist with project close out.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoice payments and receive incoming funds, coded to correct accounts.
  • Payroll: Cross check production payroll for accuracy. Assist with in-house payroll (Intuit).
  • General Accounting/Office Assistant: Prepare quarterly commission reports, manage filing system, provide additional reports as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, specifically in production,
    film or television.
  • Understanding of production-specific accounting practices.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop, Advanced Excel.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple deadlines.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, spot and report discrepancies and assist with resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is an on-site role based in Burbank, CA. The hiring range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. This position is eligible for paid sick time, holidays, and 401(k) benefits.
