Overview

In this role you will work with the VP, Digital Brand Marketing and other key stakeholders to develop a multi-channel social strategy. The manager will handle the day-to-day functions of owned and operated social media channels and select D2C digital marketing channels. This person must understand the cultural/competitive landscape and have a clear point of view on the brand, it's position, voice, and importance; particularly during cultural and relevant moments. Success in this role will be defined by the development and execution of a strategy that includes both evergreen and campaign-lead content. You will work closely with the creative team to ideate on compelling digital content. Creative-minded, strategic, and data-based planning are required as you'll work cross functionally to build channel strategies with the goal of broadening the brand's voice and cultural impact throughout the ever-evolving digital universe.

The primary objective of the role is to facilitate the growth of the brand by ideating, programming, and analyzing social media content and community engagement. Success in this role will come from developing a deep understanding of the brand's position in the creation of culture by planning and executing mission-aligned social opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Activate industry-leading digital initiatives in partnership with the brand teams.
• Copywriting across digital channels to ensure a cohesive brand voice.
• Channel-specific content planning, both evergreen and seasonal.
• Conceptualize & execute digital narratives and stories that elevate the brand vision and marketing priorities.
• Work closely with creative + design to maximize campaign content.
• Create strategic recommendations for cultural moments and identify new opportunities to engage with our audience.
• Own the social calendar and channel specific content planning.
• Manage integrations of D2C digital marketing channels with social media.
• Grow brand presence and category leading innovation on social media platforms such as TikTok, What's App, Twitter, and more.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge
• Knowledge of Roc Nation, Paper Planes and related brands/businesses.
• 2-4 years experience in community/social media management including copywriting and calendar planning. Preferably in entertainment and/or fashion.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record supporting brand initiatives and developing digital/social campaigns that drive consistent growth.
• Strong organizational skills, experience with managing multiple brands or working in an agency structure preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Digitally native with an inherent knowledge and understanding of digital/social platforms, trends, and content.
