Our Team

The core Advertising team is charged with building a new, best-in-class ads organization to establish Netflix as the premiere platform for advertiser partners and to drive advertising revenue. The ad measurement team is tasked with building best-in-class insights about our audience and marketplace measurement solutions for advertisers in support of our broader advertising sales efforts.

The Role

Netflix's Ad Measurement team is seeking a Manager of Ad Audience & Marketplace Insights to manage, hire and grow the day-to-day work of the audience research team. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, consumer insights, data science, and our vendor partners to identify and build solutions measuring Netflix's audience consumption across the digital & TV ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Advertising Sales team with research and analytics, including but not limited to audience data, site metrics, normative data, and insights into Netflix ad-supported viewers.
• Work closely with Data Science & Engineering teams to develop the tools needed for self-service access to data.
• Work closely with colleagues in Ads Measurement, Ads Marketing, Consumer Insights, and other teams to create hypotheses and conduct analyses that provide insight into viewer behavior.
• Collaborate with leadership to create the guardrails and frameworks that will help best position Netflix's 1st party audience insights in the B2B advertising marketplace.
• Educate colleagues in the UCAN market and in regions around the globe about the audience, available insights/intelligence, and the guardrails put in place to protect the business.
• Leverage proprietary and syndicated tools to create and present analyses for partners (both internal and external) that speak to the consumption patterns of the Netflix audience in comparison to competitors.
• Mine, collect and retain available information about trends in the advertising and media industries, external reports and articles that reference the Netflix content and ads business; work with leadership and partner teams (Comms, Finance & Strategy) to develop a POV on when Netflix should utilize these materials to better tell a B2B marketing story.
• Contribute to the development of the research components of presentations for our go-to-market marketplace positioning, positioning vs. competitors, and any other ad hoc requests from the sales and marketing team.
• Manage and develop a team who will execute timely requests for custom media targets and audiences based on media briefs and RFPs.
• With colleagues including the Sr. Manager and Director, work closely with Ads Marketing and sales leaders to develop a roadmap for narratives that demonstrate the value of the Netflix audience.

Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years media research experience at Streaming, TV, or digital media company.
• Experience managing individual contributors.
• Strong understanding of methodology, data, and systems from syndicated research providers (e.g. comScore, Kantar, Nielsen), as well as direct digital technology and analytics.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of (or willingness to learn) the advertising and media business.
• A builder: able to thrive in a startup environment with ambiguity, and structure a global function and team for the future
• Ability to build a good rapport with both internal and external clients; Collaborates effectively and embraces differing perspectives and experiences to make better decisions
• Demonstrated ability to generate strategic insights from rigorous analysis.
• Must have excellent writing and presentation-building skills.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000 - $420,000.
