PROGRAM COMMITMENT
The College Associate Program is a full-time, immersive experience designed to deliver real-world learning, collaboration, and a whole lot of career-building momentum.
Program Dates: May 27 – August 7, 2026
To ensure that all associates can fully benefit from the program's training, mentorship, and project work, we kindly ask applicants to confirm their availability for the full length of the program. We understand that school schedules and personal plans vary, and we encourage applicants to review the dates in advance to ensure they can participate through the conclusion of the program without interruption.
Consistency keeps the College Associate program in sync and ensures everyone gets the full experience, from the first project kick-off to the final showcase. We want you here for all the good stuff!
THE JOB
We seek a passionate and creative CURATED College Associate to join our team. This role requires a deep connection to music and Black culture, as you will play a key role in crafting experiences that resonate with our community in live. Candidate is strategic, forward-thinking, takes direction well, and demonstrates the ability to transform ideas into actionable plans. Be collaborative, thoughtful, and unafraid to ask questions.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assist in Programming Development: Collaborate with team members to brainstorm, develop, and refine programming ideas that support Black-founded festivals, CURATED properties, and cultural experiences.
• Event Execution: Help coordinate and execute events, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.
• Trend Reporting: Conduct regular research and trend analysis related to Black culture and community interests in live.
• Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback that will inform the development of relevant and impactful programming.
• Communication: crafting of promotional materials and communications for CURATED experiences.
• Adaptability: Be open to taking on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Cultural Engagement: Strong understanding and appreciation of Black culture, with demonstrated involvement in community initiatives or cultural programming.
• Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to analyze situations critically and propose innovative solutions, demonstrating forward-thinking and creativity.
• Organizational Skills: Proven experience in planning and organizing events or projects, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Proactive Attitude: Willingness to ask questions, seek clarification, and take initiative in problem-solving and project execution.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being capable of working independently when needed.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and demonstrate proficiency with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Passion for Cultural Impact: A genuine interest in contributing to the celebration and promotion of Black culture through programming and community engagement efforts.

The expected compensation for this position is: $20/hr
