THE ROLE
The Apparel Inventory & Fulfillment Manager will lead strategic efforts to position supply and inventory planning (S&IP) teams to deliver new capabilities for an omni channel marketplace. This role will lead the execution of inventory movements across all distribution nodes in North America. This role will be a blend of strategic engagement and execution of inventory deployment operations. Our ideal candidate will need to be adept at collaborating with other functions, communicating summary level and detailed information to different audience groups. This is not a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the execution of inventory movements across all distribution businesses in North America (both e-commerce and festival retail)
• Lead strategic engagement and execution of inventory deployment operations
• Design, implement, test, and execute plans to evolve our current inventory planning capabilities to a future state that serves customers from multiple points of distribution in a fast and efficient way
• Collaborate with other functions, communicating summary level and detailed information to different audience groups
• Balance designing the future while executing the present
• Drive the function's point-of-view in cross-functional design sessions that will establish how we set up Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (Inventory Planning and Shaping, Supply Deployment and Inventory Netting) and Inventory Balancing for the distribution network of the future
• Lead a team that will move and position supply and inventory for efficient deployment in our current and new supply chain network
• Manage stock transfers, inventory divert operations, Direct Ship order Cancels, and other Distribution Center (DC) inventory movement operations
• Execute inventory movements across our network and work with E-Commerce Marketplace Operations (MPO), DC Operations, and Transportation teams in LA, Vegas and Orlando
• Recruit, train and onboard members on the team both directly and partnering teams
• Other special projects and tasks as assigned as needed
• Some travel may be required (economy)
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business and 2+ years of directly related work experience and experience in DC operations, transportation or supply and inventory operations
• 2 years additional experience or other relevant subject area
• Familiarity with multi-node or omni channel distribution concepts
• Demonstrated ability to articulate clear vision and use storytelling to engage & influence people across all levels, act quickly
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint
• Able to effectively lead highly cross‐functional teams and execute deliverables on time while also ensuring recommendations are inclusive of diverse points of view
• Shows initiative and a sense of urgency, able to handle competing priorities and works independently with minimal guidance
• Self-starter, motivated and proactive in setting direction and dealing with ambiguity
• Apparel Magic Proficiency a plus
• Advanced math, analytical, and problem-solving skills required; manipulating data to quickly highlight trends, risks, and draw accurate conclusions from the data
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to ever-evolving priorities, timelines and demands
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for building a narrative around the data that leads to action
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; a quick-learn as it relates to industry-specific software Google Suite also a plus
• Above average knowledge and understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), purchasing, forecasting and inventory management
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
• Must be able to frequently sit at a desk in front of a computer for extended periods of time
• Must be able to repetitively use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
• Must have ability to recognize differences between colors, shades, and brightness
