Summary of Position
The Assistant, TV Production will support the Senior Vice President of TV Production. This position requires a confident, self-starting individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties in support of the daily operations in television production domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support including: calendar management & scheduling, rolling calls; facilitate travel, process expense reports and prepare correspondence
• Liaise with Producers, Production Managers and production offices domestically and internationally on Lionsgate related projects and general business, acting as a point of contact between the Studio and Production
• Creation of Production Calendar scenarios
• Contact Below-The-Line (BTL) Agencies to check Line Producer and technical crew availabilities
• Track distribution of budgets, call sheets, and union documents, and initially help set-up productions
• Maintain BTL availability trackers, ensuring information is updated
• Manage and prioritize project tasks; follow up on open items
• Track progress and interface with Productions and Lionsgate insurance on Insurance Claims and other issues
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
• Ability to anticipate the needs and priorities of the Senior Vice President, as well as the needs of internal projects
• Resourcefulness in finding solutions to problems
• Some working knowledge of players in the industry
• Must be self-directed, able to work independently, respond quickly to Production exigencies, anticipate problems, as well as work co-operatively in a team-oriented setting
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Clear, concise, and professional communicator, both internally and externally
• Good phone manner and sensitivity in verbal communications
• Ability to constantly multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Driven and passionate about the entertainment business, with a strong interest in TV production on the studio side
• 1 – 2 years of agency/studio/network experience on a high-volume desk preferred
• A college degree is a plus. Good grammar, spelling, etc. required.
• Excellent computer skills, and a basic knowledge of email programs, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
