Summary of Position
As a Coordinator in Global Sales & Distribution you will support distribution analytics and operations for Domestic Theatrical-from sales planning through to release-by preparing reports and maintaining essential functions for all internal theatrical sales planning, box office reporting, and the creation of competitive industry insights. The team is responsible for providing critical insights supporting sales planning decisions and distribution strategies across all Lionsgate theatrical motion picture titles. The team services theatrical distribution from greenlight through to release, including the management of all box office reporting, analysis, and projections that inform business segments internally and communications externally. With the converging business of motion picture sales and distribution, the team operates with high levels of cross-functional engagement throughout the company. The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic thinker with high attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
• Support box office analysis with by-title gross reporting and communications while aligning internal databases with up-to-date data
• Collaborate with the theatrical sales team to conduct weekly analysis in support of the team's booking process, regularly tracking key performance metrics with visibility to senior management
• Manage booking and logistics for all premiere, press, promo, trade, research and word of mouth screenings across the United States, and submit all confirmed screening reservations to our content control team for servicing
• Work closely with the distribution analysis team to conduct market-planning research and create tools for theatrical sales planning
• Maintain sales administration and processes, including collecting and sharing competitive trade screening reactions, updating internal systems for box office collection, tracking territory availability
• Participate in the development of theatrical sales-related data dashboards and maintain distribution analysis project management trackers
• Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as a touchpoint between sales & distribution and the rest of the company along with supporting weekend box office analysis & reporting
Qualifications and Skills
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in an analytical or planning role (theatrical sales and distribution experience preferred)
• Must have outstanding Excel skills (VBA experience is a plus) and moderate proficiency in Office suite
• Familiarization with industry measurement platforms such as comScore Box Office Essentials is preferred
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and manage toward evolving deadlines
• Must possess strong collaborative qualities to operate within a cross-functional organization
• An interest in movies, media, and entertainment is a plus
Compensation
$47,000 - $50,000
