Job Title: Account Executive - New Business
Job Summary: The Account Executive, New Business position offers a unique opportunity for mentorship and to be a part of the Kansas City Royals ticket sales and service team based out of Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to build a career in sports and entertainment, embrace challenging work, provide great customer service, and have a passion for teamwork.
The focus of this role will be to sell a product menu including Full, Half, Partial and Premium season ticket plans. In addition, the account executive can sell group tickets, suites, and party areas. The ideal candidate must be an aggressive, experienced sales professional. Candidate must possess the ability to take a consultative approach in understanding client needs as they relate to company products and services. This individual will be responsible for new business development through prospecting, referrals, and networking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Account Executive position will have a primary focus on ticket sales along with a variety of service responsibilities that promote sales and member retention.
• Coordinate and execute sales calls to potential new customers through cold calling, prospecting, networking events and referrals.
• Conduct sales presentations to businesses, organizations and individuals in Kansas City and the surrounding marketplace.
• Attain individual and department sales goals as set by the Manager, New Business Development.
• Manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, contacts, and appointments.
• Generate new group and season ticket sales through area businesses and organizations.
• Visit prospects and customers during home games.
• Minimum of 250 outbound calls per week
• Meet and exceed sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer services.
• Maintain records of all prospects and customers within the CRM system and work with Ticket Operations to ensure all accounts are active, documented, and up to date.
• Provide high touch customer service to all clients, including relationship building, day-to-day operations, written correspondence, phone calls, account inquiries, appointment scheduling, follow-up, etc.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in, Marketing, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years prior experience in sales and/or customer service.
• Proven ability to meet goals and work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Candidate must be driven, motivated, team-oriented, flexible, and organized.
• Must be able to multi-task while managing time successfully
• Elevated level of accountability to personal and team goals
• Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Have a high comfort level in making cold calls and delivering in-person presentations.
• Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products and ability to learn and master new software programs.
• Ability to travel around the stadium visiting clients during home games. Must be able to escort and show potential customers various seating options and facilities around the stadium.
• Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
• Professional image and demeanor.
• Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Available for some travel outside the Kansas City area as needed.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. This role is expected to have a standard 40-hour work week.
