Job Summary/Description:

KALB is looking for a dynamic evening anchor with exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at anchoring breaking news, enterprising community-centered stories, and being a leader in the newsroom.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Anchor early evening and late evening newscasts Monday-Friday
- Develop lead story ideas and contribute to daily content decisions
- Report on special projects as assigned
- Conduct live interviews and anchor continuous coverage
- Strong fact-checking skills and copy-editing ability
- Represent the station in the community and for various promotional events
- Deliver unscripted breaking news coverage to the community
- Covers news in the field when necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous work as an anchor and reporter
- Must be able to work quickly, meet deadlines, multi-task and show composure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional news judgment, strong work ethic, team-oriented approach
