THE ROLE
As an Associate Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing engineering initiatives aligning with the company's strategic goals. Having the ability to adapt to each individual project is paramount to this position's success. This position is located in Calabasas, CA with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule. This is not a fully remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Initiate, lead and monitor the development and production of technical features on our mobile and/or web applications
• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of the engineering team ensuring team members are working towards established timelines and milestones
• Effectively communicate with various departments to collect requirements for projects
• Define and deliver clear requirements to engineering team members allowing them to develop effectively
• Facilitate technical discussions and communication between onsite and offshore development team members
• Prepare PRDs (Project Requirement Documents) for new or major projects writing up user stories, explain the object/purpose of each project for the dev team
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding and trainig various team members
• Various projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years work experience using Agile methodologies - Scrum, Kanban
• Must have experience with an Agile based task management tool like JIRA or Asana
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to be a liaison between technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders
• Must have Project Management Skills - Scope management, cost management, quality management, communication management, and stakeholder management
• Experience working with offshore development teams a plus
• Must be flexible and willing to work off hours to facilitate projects with our offshore team
• Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively solve them
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment juggling multiple projects simultaneously
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• Must be willing to work in drastic temperature climates when onsite at our events
• Must be willing to travel to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
