The Sales Assistant is an entry-level role that supports the sales team with coordination duties and administrative tasks throughout the Pod sales process for specific accounts across all 25+ brands within the Hearst portfolio. This role offers growth potential tailored to the individual's abilities and professional goals. We're especially interested in candidates with a curiosity or passion for the Public Health and Pharmaceutical industries, as we continue to deepen our partnerships in these fast-evolving sectors. This position reports to the Pharma Sales Team and supports multi-platform sales across print, digital, and social-requiring strong initiative and extreme attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
• Respond to client inquiries related to in-bound advertising requests
• Serve as liaison between Hearst clients and the sales team
• Work with internal Hearst departments for various tasks, i.e. positioning, invoice requests, marketing & research requests
• Accurately complete advertising RFPs
• Manage mass email blasts and other client-facing needs
• Partner with business managers to process insertion orders and support critical paperwork
• Prepare competitive share-of-market reports and analyses
• Aid in client prospecting, including monitoring Public Health and Pharma trade media for key industry news and client updates
• Manage monthly sales expenses and assist with travel arrangements
• Responsible for administrative tasks, including magazine mailers, ordering supplies, etc.
• This position is based in the NYC office 3 days a week. No remote option.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
• Proactive and intellectually curious; actively looking to assist team members and learn more about the Pharma and media landscape
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Interest in the Public Health, Pharma, media, or advertising industries
• Personable, organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in MS Office Suite & Keynote
• Minimum 1 year of experience, with demonstrated interest in media/advertising or health-related industries

The base salary for this role is $50,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
