Job Description
Very Local, Hearst Television's streaming platform offering local news and original programming, is seeking a Programming Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills who can help execute on the overall programming and scheduling strategy. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, highly motivated self-starter who can work in a fast and sometimes unpredictable environment, is reliable, flexible, and a master problem solver. The Programming Coordinator maintains, updates and distributes the programming schedule and is a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders to ensure content deliverables are being sent to scheduling on deadline.

Candidates must be US-based with flexibility to work in any Hearst Television market (Pittsburgh, Orlando, Omaha, New Orleans).

Responsibilities
• Maintain programming schedule and distribute updates and changes across groups
• Act as a main point of contact for news stations to ensure that news specials, live events, etc., are scheduled on deadline
• Submit requests for VOD content to be added to the OTT platform
• Track OTT home page and show page content across 26+ streaming channels
• Create and maintain Airtable programming grids
• Serve as liaison between programming and other departments including marketing, production, post-production, social and digital, product, legal etc.
• Work with Marketing team to identify necessary promotional & key art assets for the app and coordinate workflow for delivery
• Participate in regular meetings to give updates to other departments on upcoming projects answer questions and communicate programming needs
• Communicate episode premiere dates and changes to series participants
• Assist with all aspects of programming stunts
• Assist with Live Event scheduling as needed
• Write & edit episode/series titles and descriptions, and ensure copy is grammatically correct
• Track competitive landscape
• Work across teams and with external production partners to ensure assets are delivered to scheduling on deadline
• Prepare reports and presentations as needed
• Act as a back-up to other team members when deemed necessary for coverage
• Schedule and coordinate meetings

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of work experience in programming , production and/or scheduling
• Familiarity with Airtable is a plus
• FAST channel and streaming familiarity a plus
• Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent computer skills: comfortable with Google platform, Microsoft and Apple applications, Microsoft Office suite, Social Networking sites, collaborative team project software, etc.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills and willingness to regularly maintain and update systems
• A collaborative and team-oriented sensibility
