Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR day-to-day activities for Hearst Magazines' People & Culture department. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-motivated and highly organized. You possesses an innate ability to establish strong working relationships at all levels within the organization. The successful candidate must have a high level of learning agility (quickly learn, apply, then master), strong project management and data management skill sets. This role is based in NYC.
Resonsibilities:
What You'll Do:
• Provide HR process coordination support through the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to:
• New Hires, Terminations, Transfers, Status Changes,
• Onboarding and Offboarding processes in partnership with People & Culture teams
• Organizational change management activities including org charts and system alignment
• Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from various sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, and other sources
• Run custom and ad-hoc reports, help analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns
• First point of contact for HR and respond with a sense of urgency to routine HR inquiries on processes, policies, and procedures.
• Uphold data integrity standards by maintaining accurate and timely records
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and play an active role in contributing to special projects
• Support the Human Resource Business Partners through various adhoc projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Who You Are:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year experience, preferably in the HR field
• Exceptional oral and written skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong adherence to meeting deadlines
• Ability to analyze current practices, identify process improvement opportunities and successfully influence and implement appropriate changes
• Customer service and team oriented
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
The base salary for this role is between $50,000 to $58,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
