Reporting to the Director of Streaming Editorial Operations in the UK & the local Digital Manager in Germany, the Streaming Editor will be responsible for the editorialisation of our sports streaming content across our premium platform HBO Max & Discovery+, managing imagery, titles and descriptions to deliver a first-class user experience.
The Streaming Editor is responsible for metadata on our Sports page on HBO Max & Discovery+ in German as well as English-language.
In this role, you will work on some of the biggest events in sport, which includes Tennis Grand Slams and Cycling Grand Tours all part of our premium offering to users. You will work in close liaison with the scheduling, programming, merchandising and imagery teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of editorial for live, VOD and highlight content.
Evening and weekend work should be expected as part of an editorial team covering live sport.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Ensuring we have clean and accurate titles and descriptions on all our premium sports content on HBO Max & Discovery+ for German and English-language
• Updating imagery on key assets as live sport progresses
• Quality checks on content which saves as VOD
• Liaising with wider stakeholders such as the scheduling and broadcast teams to ensure users have accurate and up to
• Attend weekly meetings with our Paris Scheduling Team, Broadcasting Team & Merchandising Team to ensure editorially we are aligned and up to date
• Troubleshooting - raising issues and tickets, highlighting any errors and ensuring that their work is processing correctly

Qualifications & Experience...
• A passion for editorial, learning and growing – we require someone who is compassionate and caring towards their peers and can be a good additional member to the team
• Strong attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to produce clean copy
• A passion for and knowledge of sport is ideal
• Ability to multi-task and operate in a high pressured environment especially during peak Sports events, must be confident working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous media/streaming/broadcast background is required
• Ability to speak German and English is essential
