The Job
The Manager, Digital & Non-Traditional Partnerships role will play a key role managing all third-party partnerships in Korea. The candidate will manage all digital and non-traditional partnerships (e.g., partnership deal with Spotify or Coupang/e-commerce) directly and collaborate with the B2B (Telco and MVPD) partnerships team in Korea to support the development and execution of our streaming business with our distribution partners across all categories.

The core responsibility of this role is to support the launch of HBO Max in Korea with the objective of scaling subscribers and accelerating revenue growth through various initiatives and partners.

The role works closely with cross-functional local and global teams at WarnerMedia including content programming, marketing, data insights, product management and technology to distribute the HBO Max service through bundling, reselling, authentication and other mechanisms.

The Daily
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to grow subscribers, increase engagement, and differentiate the HBO Max product and content experience in Korea through strategic partnerships across 3rd party digital & non-traditional partners including music services, payment providers, mobile wallet, app stores, mobile device and connected TV OEMs and e-commerce industries.
• Use professional network to make contact with potential partners, pitch distribution opportunity, build mutual value and develop and execute distribution agreements.
• Identify distribution and marketing goals with digital stores (in-app-purchase partners) and device manufactures for HBO Max Korea; work closely with the HBO Max global commercial team (which manages global IAP/device relationships) in the development and execution of partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with WarnerMedia International partnership team to align on distribution strategy for MVPDs and Telcos.
• Create the best possible commercial terms outcome for HBO Max and WarnerMedia while delivering seamless ways for consumers to purchase and use the HBO Max service.
• Identify, develop, negotiate and execute, local device, partnership payments, and brand integration partnerships.
• Responsible within the HBO Max Korea team for the subscribers, revenue, and branding KPI's through all digital partners.
• Negotiate and execute trade-marketing for all digital & non-traditional partners.

The Essentials
• At least 5 years of experience in distribution, partnership management and business development in Korea.
• Direct to consumer experience is a must.
• Experience in drafting and managing distribution agreements with MVPDS, Telcos and digital partners.
• Experience managing partnerships with App stores, device manufacturers ad brand partnerships.
• Strong understanding of the Korea market and SVOD, AVOD and direct to consumer business models.
• Ability to analyze, interpret data and use insights to inform decisions and make recommendations.
• Fluency in English essential; exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills and collaboration skills are a must.
