Job Summary/Description:

If you love to figure out puzzles, can multitask and are a team contributor, this role may be for YOU! The WPTA Sales Assistant is the major support artery for the Local Sales team. The successful candidate will have a leading role in the success of Sales at WPTA/EPTA/WISE/GPTA television stations and work directly with the General Sales Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Support management by coordinating advertiser account activity inside the station.
• Assist with collections and accounting for local and national accounts.
• Understanding urgency and priority with a focus on short deadlines.
• Assist with daily preempts, makegoods and late runs for the local staff.
• Assist with campaign pre/post maintenance and communication through various channels
• Maintain inventory programs and learn about the audience ratings systems.
• Work with other assistants to keep workflow moving.
• Work cross-functionally to assist with other sales assistant, traffic and programming
• Review and file documents
• Assist in developing reports and research documents
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Detail oriented and urgency driven
- Ability to prioritize and perform at a high level in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and a business acumen
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint highly preferred).
- Prior experience in a Sales department is a plus
- Mathematical skills required
• This position can be a remote-based job depending on the right candidate and level of experience. Acceptable locations are in Fort Wayne, IN and surrounding area or Green Bay, WI and surrounding area.
