Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Production Assistant will provide high-level administrative and editorial support to all areas of the newsroom. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Work with Producers to view, log, and cue tapes for preview show/event elements.
• Assist Producers in production of features, teases, and previews of shows and segments.
• Collaborate with the assignment desk, original programming, digital, and other areas within the news department on various initiatives
• Liaise with teams and departments throughout the station to successfully execute shows and segments.
• Manage complex calendars, schedules, and show activities.
• Assist with station's presence on social media.
• Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.
• Comply with all FOX Corporate computer requirements.
• Comply with all FOX Corporate and station policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of newsroom functions
• Familiarity with digital editing platforms such as iNews.
• Strong social media skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under daily pressure and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film is preferred.
Education and Experience
• One (1) year of administrative support experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.63-26.44 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
