JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a dream job for the candidate who loves edgy content and live television! If you have always wanted to create your own talk show with innovative content and be part of a winning team, this is the perfect position for you. KRIV, the FOX O & O in Houston is seeking a dynamic and passionate producer-booker for our late night hour-long daily broadcast, Isiah Factor Uncensored, which also streams nationally on Fox Soul, our OTT platform. From lively debate segments, to field packages to guests from the world of politics and entertainment, the show is a unique blend of news, information and entertainment. We call it ''Infotainment''!! In addition to producing segments and booking the broadcast guests, this position may be required to produce live breaking news as well as pre-planned and pre-recorded shows. The candidate should have live control room experience. Strong journalistic standards required as well as knowledge of legal and ethical issues as applied to media.

The candidate should have strong writing skills and be able to produce strong content under deadline. Familiarity with desktop editing, rundown and graphics development and line producing experience a plus. This producer should possess leadership skills and be able to give direction while also being a team player and collaborator. Must fully participate in the editorial process that leads to story and segment development.

Bachelor's Degree required; studies in journalism, media studies or a related field preferred. Experience as a show producer in a medium or large market preferred. Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask. You may be required to perform other duties including but not limited to desktop editing, digital content production, field producing and other duties assigned as deemed necessary. Ideal candidate has familiarity or be willing to learn newsroom computer systems (such as I-news), graphics programs and other software programs for production elements. Candidate may be required to work nights as well as other hours/shifts/weekends/holidays as needed. Must have a valid credit card and driver's license.
