Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

If you love creative control, FOX 26 KRIV, the Fox O&O in Houston, has the perfect position for you. We are looking for a talented and passionate off-air staffer who is a ''preditor'' (photographer/editor). This position has the ability to produce, shoot, and edit on their own. The ideal candidate must be an excellent storyteller who possesses both writing and technical skills. You must be able work well under pressure and can complete tasks with a quick turnaround for a daily, unique, non-traditional news/talk/entertainment program, which airs five nights a week on both the local station as well as streamed national on an OTT digital platform. This position will be required to find impactful culture-shaping content, set up interviews for their stories and arrange logistics. While taking ownership of the content you are developing, the candidate must also be able to collaborate with the program's anchor, management and other members of the broadcast team. Will be required to maintain all legal and journalistic standards in story development.

Qualified candidates must have success writing, shooting, editing, and producing news packages for all platforms, television and digital. Should be able to create graphics and will be required to contribute content to our digital platforms. Must have knowledge of DSLR and high-end production cameras, as well as non-linear editing software (Edius and Adobe Premiere). Experience in After Effects is a plus. May also be required to field produce as well as other assignments deemed necessary.

Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field preferred. Experience as a photographer/editor in a medium to large market preferred. Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask. Ideal candidate should have familiarity with newsroom computer systems. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours; overnight, early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays as required. Must have a valid credit card and driver's license.
