Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

KRIV FOX 26 in Houston is an exciting top ten market and world-class city where creativity, diversity, and innovation thrive. We are seeking a dynamic Executive Producer to be responsible for creative development of mostly non-hard news, original programming both current and future for our linear and digital platforms. Current programming includes a late night mature-content entertainment, lifestyle and trending topics show and our Isiah Factor Uncensored which is a culturally responsive program which airs on-air and streams on Fox Soul. The EP will develop additional Specials (live or taped) as required.

This EP will guide show creators/producers, preditors, talent and other contributors through idea pitch meetings, story/segment development, scheduling and the production process. This EP works with production staff to schedule regular show production along with all pre-recorded content. This EP will work with our digital team to coordinate promotion and coverage of segments and guests; understanding how to leverage content in the digital space to enhance the broadcast product and vice versa.

This EP will communicate with upper news management, as well as general manager, regarding strategy, timelines, and direction of the production. This EP must have a working knowledge of libel, copyright and fair use laws. Understanding of ratings, impressions, and audience flow, and the knowledge of how to use this information to attract a demographically driven audience is required.

The ideal candidate must have superior judgment, knowledge of current and trending events. Strong writing skills required. Must have a strong work ethic and do whatever it takes from editing material, booking guests and producing graphics and formats as needed if required. The successful candidate should be an extraordinary ''people manager'' who can coach and challenge the staff to perform at their highest levels every day. Must have the ability to work with upper management and across station departments. Will be required to supervise some administrative functions such as schedules, employee critiques and reviews.

Five (5) years of experience as a Producer of original content in a major market, or at least two (2) years of experience as an Executive Producer in a major to middle sized Market is preferred. Will consider candidates with previous promotion, marketing, creative services or news experience. Bachelor's degree required; in communications, media studies, journalism or a related field preferredCandidate may be required to work different hours/shifts/shows including weekends and holidays. Must have a valid credit card and driver's license.
