Digital Production Assistant, News/Politics (NY or REMOTE)

JOB DESCRIPTION

FoxNews.com & FoxBusiness.com are looking for motivat ed Digital Production Assistant, News/Politics to join our team. As a Digital Production Assistant, News/Politics, you can handle a fast - paced environment and a re creative, flexible and have a ''can - do'' attitude. You are willing to learn, enjoy collaborating with a team and eager to advance within the company.

You may be assigned the following shift: Sun - Thurs or Tues - Sat: 6 am - 2 pm ET or 2pm - 10 pm ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch and write stories to be published on FoxNews. com and FoxBusi ness.com in the news and politics sections
• Work closely with the graphics production team in finding and creating custom elements for stories
• Cut video from Fox News Channel & Fox Business Network shows for use in articles on FoxNews.com
• Monitor programmi ng for compelling newsmakers/segments that can be featured on
our sites
• Scour national and international media for stories that will resonate with our audience, aggregating with complete and proper attribution
• Multitask on tight deadlines in high pressur e environment
• Prioritize assignments and meeting deadlines

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum 1 - 2 years online news experience either writing or producing
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Experienced with multi - tasking several projects
• Excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of current events
• Ability to work well under pressur e and meet tight deadlines in a fast - paced 24 - hour news environment
• Flexibility to adjust to scheduling changes
• Be a team player willing to jump in when needed in breaking news situations
• Proven capability to be creative and think 'outside the box'

NICE TO HAVES
• A Bachelors or equivalent degree
• Knowledge
of CMS, Photoshop and video editing systems is a plus
