What's the gig?
FINN Partners is on the hunt for an Assistant Account Executive to join our UK travel PR practice. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 6 months or one year of experience in PR or within journalism. You will need experience of media relations and pitching, writing, and social media comms as well as a passion for the travel industry. You will have the desire or impulse to travel, wander and explore this beautiful world and be ready to bring your passion to an award-winning integrated agency.

What you'll be up to?
As Assistant Account Executive you will support the wider team and work with some of the best destinations and brands in the business. You will keep on top of the media, there's a lot of reading for everyone here at FINN, papers, magazines and online to ensure we continue to develop opportunities and create inspiring content. You will be monitoring and creating media lists, putting together activity reports, writing releases, organising, and hosting events, selling in stories, and attending client meetings. Hosting media and keeping on top of journalistic needs and deadlines is integral to the role as well as arranging those all-important press trips. You'll join brainstorms and develop ideas as a team; we are a collaborative bunch and want the opinions of all team members.

Day to day?
There is no typical day… generally, working hours are 9.00- 5:30pm, Monday to Friday but sometimes there are times you will be out until late or up at the crack of dawn organising photo shoots or attending events – that is the nature of PR. We offer a hybrid working structure that offers a mix of WFH and WFO and our gorgeous new office next to Liverpool Street Station is designed for hybrid brainstorms, meetings and get-togethers as a team.

What do you need to succeed?
• General awareness of the travel and hospitality sector
• Some work experience in public relations or a related field
• Enthusiasm and desire to be involved in award-winning PR campaigns
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of influencer landscape and opportunities
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Good attention to detail, organisation and confidence are all a must
• Resourceful and innovative
• Team player
• IT whizz
• A love of travel
• University degree
