Job Description
The 2D pipeline developer works and supports the 2D pipeline team, artists and supervisors to solve Nuke related issues. In collaboration with other pipeline team members, the developer identifies and solves complex challenges for tools, plug-ins and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain efficient and creative workflows and tools for composting artists
• Troubleshoot artist tool issues and develop effective solutions in collaboration with the pipeline team members
• Work daily with the pipeline management team and team lead to identify and implement existing and new features
• Attend daily scrum meetings
• Write technical briefs and user documentation
• Identify early areas of improvements and escalate issues as needed
Qualifications
• Passion for staying on top of latest features in Nuke
• 2+ years experience writing Nuke pipeline code using python
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated talent for designing intuitive, artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality
• Understanding of object-oriented programming patterns
• Comfortable with git and unit testing
• Desire to probe and understand the inner workings of complex systems
• Basic DCC familiarity with Houdini, Maya
• Experience with PyQt or PySide preferred
• Understanding of Color Science is a plus
• Experience programming in C++, especially using Nuke's NDK preferred
$100,000 - $170,000 a year
This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
