Job Description
As the Senior Director of Compensation at ESPN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the compensation strategy for ESPN. This position is crucial in ensuring that our compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. You will bring a sense of curiosity and strong consulting skills, providing leadership and direction through your compensation team. Your role will be instrumental in developing and executing business plans that are guided by functional strategies, objectives, and priorities. This position requires a strategic leader who is accountable and can influence others internally and externally, including senior leaders.

What You Will Do:
• Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that align with Disney's overall business objectives
• Lead and manage the ESPN compensation function, ensuring effective execution of plans and programs
• Provide leadership and direction to compensation team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Analyze market trends and data to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices
• Collaborate with senior leaders to influence and drive compensation decisions that support business goals
• Leverage a strong analytic skillset to the HR function, supporting and enabling the use of analytics and data-driven decision making throughout Human Resources
• Oversee the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to compensation
• Develop and manage the compensation budget, ensuring cost-effective and strategic use of resources
• Communicate compensation strategies and programs to stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment
• Bring a mindset of continuous improvement by evaluating and improving compensation processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Master consulting skills and proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders
• A strong sense of curiosity
• Extensive experience in compensation strategy development and execution
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in compensation analysis and market data interpretation
• Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and ability to align compensation programs with business objectives
• High level of accountability and integrity
• Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience in a large, complex organization
• Consulting or other business- or HR-functional experience preferred
• Experience with global compensation programs
• Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Preference to Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
