As a collaborative HR professional supporting our ESPN organization, you will serve in a key role on the HR Business Partner team by supporting all facets of delivering integrated and inclusive HR Services, Strategy Department, Organizational Design, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Change & Transition Management, DE&I and Functional HR Integration.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of this position include assisting in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources services and the resolution of Human Resources issues arising with assigned ESPN clients. This is a fast-paced, customer service oriented role which interacts directly with staff across business client group, the HR Business Partner team, and HR's Centers of Excellence
• The HR Specialist will work directly with the HR Business Partner team in our support of the business to drive their strategies, foster leadership success and support all employees for a positive employee experience.
• Assists in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources services and the resolution of issues arising with assigned ESPN clients.
• Runs and utilizes reports and HRIS dashboards.
• Analyzes trends and metrics, collaborates with HR functional experts to develop solutions and process improvement.
• Update HRIS database records and process paperwork for employee transfers and backfill requests with required job posting documentation.
• Support headcount/position management.
• Support organizational SAP work post reorganization communications to implement changes in HRIS data base.
• Assist HR Business Partner team with key annual planning work such as talent planning and performance calibrations.
• Conduct employee off boarding/exit interviews.
• Manage any issues escalated from Global HR Operations.
• Maintain an effective level of HR & business literacy to deliver effective HR services.
• Ability to learn and apply HR policies, processes and practices independently.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
• Identifies issues that require escalation.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• 2+ years of general work experience.
• Experience using SAP/Workday or similar system and reporting capabilities.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills & attention to detail.
• Proven knowledge of HR industry practices.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant industry experience or knowledge of the media space (preferably within a cutting edge, highly innovative environment).
• Working knowledge of employment laws.
