As a forward-looking HR professional supporting our ESPN organization, you will serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by developing and delivering integrated and inclusive HR Services Strategy Development, Organization Design, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Change & Transition Management, DE&I and Functional HR Integration.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of this position include assisting in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources deliverables and the resolution of Human Resources issues with assigned ESPN client groups. This is a fast-paced, customer service oriented role which interacts directly with staff and business leaders across client groups, the HR Business Partner team, and HR's Centers of Excellence. Individuals in this role typically work independently using personal discretion. Position requires minimal guidance of completing tasks; complex issues are worked closely with more senior team members.
• Understands the business and plays a significant role in driving the people initiatives aligned to the business strategy.
• Serves as the point of contact with the business client groups to implement effective Human Resources solutions to business issues, strategies, and initiatives.
• Assists in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources services and the resolution of Human Resources issues with assigned ESPN client groups.
• Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
• Partners with the business on workforce planning and organizational design work.
• Collaborate with HR functional partners to carry out human resources strategies to enable business goals and support future business growth.
• Carry out the Talent Management process to identify current and forecasted talent needs, develop action plans to mitigate retention risk and improve confidence in future successor readiness to enable business objectives.
• Assess employee training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skill needs.
• Partners with Compensation team to manage pay for performance program including annual merit increase, bonus, and promotions.
• Analyzes trends and metrics, collaborates with HR functional experts to develop solutions, make recommendations and develop programs to optimally support the people needs of client groups.
• Deliver HR services and drives HR company-wide initiatives to clients resulting in a seamless point of contact to the broader HR organization and ensuring successful integration of functional partner initiatives and expertise.
• Maintain an effective level of business literacy to provide a consultative approach to deliver HR services. Leverage HR / business skills and knowledge to challenge or influence leadership in decision-making processes.
• Identifies issues that require escalation.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Must be an authentic thought partner with confidence and courage to push boundaries
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
• Proven consulting and/or change management experience
• Proven knowledge of HR industry practices
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant industry experience or knowledge of the media space (preferably within a cutting edge, highly innovative environment)
