Events Coordinator

Job Description

Position Summary:

At the direction of the Senior Manager of Programming and Events, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of various aspects of the ESPN Events basketball scheduling and supervision, as assigned. Functions will include, but are not limited to, operational and administrative aspects related to the scheduling of participating teams and the execution of ESPN Events' owned and operated early season tournaments and neutral site games. This position may also have responsibilities on other business functions, as assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Issue and track the status of contracts for teams to participate in ESPN Events basketball tournaments and neutral site games
• Create and distribute various materials in support of the administration of ESPN's basketball events
• Administer post-event surveys to participating teams and develop a report to summarize the results
• Manage various documents that follow event scheduling progress and industry trends
• Support team scheduling efforts
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
• An understanding of NCAA men's and women's basketball
• Strong computer skills including knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office programs
• Professional phone presence and in-person demeanor
• Highly detail-oriented and organized

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years of experience in a sport- or event-related capacity including a college basketball program, athletic department or conference office
• Experience in and an understanding of event operations

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Business, Sport Management, or other related field.
