About the Role & Team:
As a Compensation Manager at Disney, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's compensation strategies to align with its business objectives. This position demands a subject matter expert who can lead functional teams or projects, solve complex problems, and identify innovative solutions. Your expertise in negotiating and explaining complex concepts will be crucial in ensuring that compensation packages are competitive and aligned with market trends. Additionally, you will leverage business intelligence tools and techniques to analyze compensation data, create standardized templates and tools, and develop predictive models to project compensation costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to s/ucceed.
What You Will Do:
• Conduct analysis utilizing various data sources and create standardized templates using Access, Tableau or BI tools to streamline the compensation reporting process. Identifying trends and making informed decisions related to compensation.
• Focus on building a framework for compensation analytics and recruitment results for the team to access the necessary reporting tools and resources to understand market dynamics and shifts.
• Ensure that data from multiple sources is accurately integrated and managed to support compensation analysis and reporting.
• Combine data from various survey data and internal systems data to create comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide insights into compensation trends and metrics.
• Develop models to forecast compensation costs and identify potential financial impacts to proactively manage compensation strategies.
• Consult with leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure compensation programs are aligned with market and business conditions.
• Actively seek market intelligence and industry-specific data to inform compensation trends and recommend solutions.
• Create and maintain global job families, structures, and hiring ranges, evaluating changes based on business needs.
• Provide guidance to HR business partners, recruiters, and managers regarding compensation recommendations, philosophy and program application.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• At least 5 years of experience in compensation consulting, data analytics, HR Analytics and/or in related disciplines
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau, Workday and Cognos
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
• Proven consulting skills and ability to negotiate with varying audiences
• Business-oriented mindset and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines (e.g., technology, finance, legal, operations)
• Proven experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau Server and Business Objects
• Good communication, negotiation, and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Work experience with a large corporate employer, leading consulting firm, and/or emerging technology roles preferred
• Direct work experience in a Data Analytics
• Experience with data-driven projects sourcing from multiple systems
• Technical experience including data modeling
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business degree
The hiring range for this position in California is $137,100 to $167,50 per year and in New York is $143,600 to $175,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
