What You'll Do

Today, we are growing the team that is forging the first adventures in LEGO Fortnite, blending the engaging and welcoming Fortnite universe with the creativity and playfulness of LEGO. We're looking for a Gameplay Engineer for the World Building team within LEGO Fortnite to help craft highly visually stunning and compelling worlds, that players keep returning to enjoy new and varied content the world has to offer. In this role, you will
• Architect features related to Lego Fortnite's World Building Systems.
• Technical Lead for the World Building Team, own and productize all the technical challenges covered by the team.
• Work with production partners to develop roadmaps and prioritize work for live service releases.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-discipline leads (technical art and design) to understand and bring to life their ideas.
• Identify opportunities to improve the performance and stability of our large worlds.

What we're looking for
• Prior experience developing large gameplay framework systems
• Proficient in C++
• Proficiency in writing highly performant real-time code
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to provide, solicit, and accept feedback constructively
• Experience tracking down and debugging live service issues
• Experience leading a team of 3-5 developers.
