What We Do

Create and collaborate with world-class artists to produce 2D art and design elements that push boundaries and inspire.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is searching for an experienced 2D Illustrator/designer hybrid (heavy emphasis on illustration background) to work on Fortnite. You will create top-quality art for gameplay, cinematics, and marketing materials.

In this role, you will
• Create original illustration and design based on direction from the project Art Director and input from the game design team
• Help Epic push the visual envelope by creating stunning and inspiring work
• Create and iterate within a determined production schedule
• Partner with other departments, such as Character Design or Environmental Art to stay on track and on concept
• Source a roster of additional illustrators and designers to pull in when needed
• Produce clear and detailed creative briefs for contract illustrators and designers that encompass creative direction and game reference

What we're looking for
• Experience creating relevant, detailed, modern, forward-looking illustration
• Ability to work in a wide range of illustration styles to suit the variety of characters, environments, and concepts in Fortnite
• Strong traditional drawing skills
• Experience working with typefaces and creating hand-drawn typography
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
