Financial Analyst - Transactional

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst, Transactional, this position will play a critical role in the smooth day-to-day operation of distribution accounting. They will work cross-functionally with other divisions including Shared services, Legal affairs, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Reporting, Marketing, Treasury and Business Operations.

Job Duties:
• Processing and creating invoices for all distribution customers – including creating templates to import large volumes of data into the ERP system
• Inputting and processing journal entries
• Handling customer account queries and be the main point of contact (internal & external) regarding Third-Party distribution feed and associated queries
• Maintain and manage the master title database for all distribution customers
• Assist with month end tasks as assigned by senior management
• Assist AR and Royalties team with adhoc customer reconciliations in resolving disputes and billing discrepancies
• Assist with Producer Audit queries, working closing with the Producer Audit team within Royalties to pull information/data/back-up
• Assist with External Audit queries, working closing with the Senior Finance Manager to pull information/data/back-up
• Provide accurate and timely information to help facilitate strategic and operational decision-making
• Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on and/or assisting with additional projects as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum 2 years working experience in accounting or accounts receivable preferable
• Experience working with customers in the media, television production and distribution industries is desirable
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is an asset
• High attention to detail, excellent reconciliation and time management skills
• Pro-active, reliable and efficient
• Must be able to work as part of a team and autonomously
• Must have advanced knowledge of Excel (inc. pivot tables and vlookups)
• Must have high analytical aptitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal)
