Senior Finance Assistant - MLS

Main Purpose of Job

To provide Financial and Accounting assistance to the Production Team - Dealing with all matters that arise during the course of a Production and to provide regular ''Final Cost'' information to Heads of Production and Finance. This is a ''Sleeves Up'' role for someone who enjoys getting fully involved in a Role and working as part of a busy Team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Providing Accounting support to the Production Team – including the following:
• Completing the Monthly update of the actual expenditure for the Production Cost Reports and helping Production Managers to analyse and explain their budget variances
• Reporting the Production Costs in accordance with strict deadlines at Month End
• Partnering with the Production Managers and Coordinators to ensure that each Project receives dedicated Financial Support
• Set up Production Cost trackers and attend Review meetings as required
• Setting up New Vendors through the Vendor Maintenance COE Portal
• Ensuring that Vendor Invoices are properly coded and sent to Esker for authorised Approval
• Liaising with Accounts Payable on all Payables issues – dealing with Vendor Enquiries etc.
• Assisting Production with processing Contingent Workers through Pay Reel
• Ensuring that all Production costs are recharged to the correct projects each Month
• Assisting with Credit Card/Out of Pocket Expenses for all relevant staff using the Concur System
• Raising Client Invoices using the Stadium Billing system
• Dealing with any other Ad Hoc Production related Finance matters as required
• Liaising with Finance Colleagues in other departments on all of the above

Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc
• Must be prepared to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

Mandatory
• Previous experience in an Accounting / Finance Environment
• Knowledge of Pay Reel or a similar Contingent Workforce Tool
• Understanding of the functions of other Finance departments, e.g., Treasury, Tax, AP and AR

Desirable
• Experience of working in a similar media related environment within finance
• Knowledge and understanding of Sport and Television production processes
• Experience in using SAP accounting system

Skills and Abilities

Mandatory
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Highly numerate
• Must be able to organise work and determine priorities to meet deadlines
• Must be able to work on own initiative to identify problem areas and work through to a satisfactory conclusion

Qualifications and Training

Mandatory
• Minimum high school diploma education or equivalent
• Studying for a recognised accounting qualification

Aptitudes

Mandatory
• Confident and flexible team player
• Organised with an ability to prioritise
• Good verbal and written Communication skills
• Proven experience of working as part of a large Team
• Excellent attention to detail skills

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$60,000 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$80,000 annually
