Job Description

The EVP, Business Development is responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, developing relationships, understanding the client's critical business strategies and objectives, and ultimately winning new brand clients for 160over90's global cultural marketing agency. This position oversees all new business growth efforts across our full-service agency and ensures that all efforts are within the organization's strategic growth and development plans. In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of account people, strategists and creatives, while you oversee proposal writers, presentation designers, lead managers and strategic prospectors to manage new relationships from lead generation and RFP response to capabilities meetings and kicking off successful relationships.

Job Responsibilities:
• Design + Establishment of all new business goals and strategies
• Oversee development of RFPs, proposals, and contracts
• Prospecting and growing revenue
• Train, mentor, and oversee new business development team
• Motivate and ensure cooperation within all areas of the company, regardless of service offering or RFP deliverable
• Oversee research, lead generation, outreach and agency pipeline system
• Provide regular reports and updates of activities, goals, pipeline and status for all offices and business units
• Design sales outreach and provide supervision
• Identify new market segments and proactively assess prospective Client problems or issues to stay ahead in the competitive market
• Opportunity briefing/oversight
• Participation in prospecting calls to evaluate opportunities
• Oversight and leadership of presentations/pitches
• Reviewing proposals and creative case studies
• Managing conference approach, attendance, and conversion strategy
• Managing industry relationships with pitch consultants and similar
• Maintain and develop productive relationships with existing as well as potential clients

Education & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration of studies in the area of sales, marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or promotions required
• Minimum of ten (15) years successful experience selling marketing agency services
• Business Development experience in the sports, hospitality, apparel and lifestyle markets a plus
• History of career stability and sales success through prospecting and growing revenue
• Pre-sale administration and presentation/proposal development experience
• Strong sales and communication skills that foster and maintain solid relationships
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and superior customer service, while maintaining a positive attitude and inclusive work environment
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Ability to be creative while analytically viewing challenges to develop exact client-focused solutions
• Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external) with a strong business acumen and aptitude to identify key business issues
• Ability to travel up to 40%, both domestic and international
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote
