The Technical Audio Designer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the sonic landscape of our product. You will be asked to lead the technical audio vision of all audio systems within the project, adding on your technical skills to bring our game to life through innovative audio integration and interactive elements, while creating an immersive audio experience that captivate and engage our audiences.
Responsibilities
• You will will design and oversee robust audio systems, tools, pipelines that help integrate sound FX, music, voiceover into our project with efficiency, function while Identifying to remove risks from the project.
• Create all game audio system documentation, effectiveness, sustainability and best practices while mentoring and support of other audio team members.
• Maintain technical requirements for audio performance, memory management, debugging and metric gathering of audio systems.
• Research and stay current with latest audio technologies and trends, proposing approaches to enhance audio realism and player engagement.
• Work with partners in other departments to collaborate with, advocating for audio in early design philosophies and workflows.
• You will create high-quality sound assets and implement content when needed, as you may need to prototype a concept or assist the audio team.
• You will report and collaborate directly with Director of Audio to discuss your audio systems, workflow pipelines and what is needed that supports the Audio design of the project.
Required Qualifications
• Solid experience with game audio development tools, technology and pipelines conveying technical skills and understanding of logic-based systems.
• 2+ years with Unreal and Audiokinetic Wwise
• Experienced with programing skills in scripting languages.
• Strong artistic qualities, excellent at interpreting reference and following direction.
• Proactive, collaborative and motivated to work as a team with encouraging a positive culture.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $113,300 - $171,700
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $111,500 - $171,700
• Jersey City, NJ:
º $126,700 - $171,700
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $111,500 - $144,000
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $111,500 - $157,300
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
