Job Description
We're looking for a Taxonomist to help build taxonomies that support personalized player
experiences across our portfolio of games and channels. You will work as part of a small team of passionate information science professionals, made up of ontologists, taxonomists, content modelers, product and project managers, and knowledge engineers. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Taxonomy.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement new taxonomies, with an emphasis on sustainability
• Identify and document taxonomy requirements through research into end-user needs,
EA's existing content corpus, technical requirements, and gathering and organizing input
from internal stakeholders and external sources
• Create new taxonomy designs and review with stakeholders
• Implement taxonomies in an enterprise taxonomy management system, collaborating
with developers, engineers, and content teams
• Ongoing maintenance and development of global taxonomies
• Educate partners on taxonomy governance processes and workflows

Requirements:
• 5+ years experience as a working taxonomist
• Master's degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management or
equivalent work experience and education
• Experience building taxonomies in a large organization, including creating new
taxonomies and redesigning existing taxonomies
• Experience collecting requirements and designing taxonomy use cases through the use
of information needs assessment interviews, content analysis, and task and workflow
analysis
• Knowledge of the theoretical principles of taxonomy architecture and taxonomy and
ontology standards (e.g. OWL, RDF, and SKOS)
• Knowledge of the principles of content modelling and knowledge graphs
