Job Description
Senior Communications Specialist, EA Positive Play

#WeAreEA and we exist to inspire the world to play. EA values creativity, pioneering, passion, determination, learning, and teamwork. We mean things like acting with curiosity, speaking up with original ideas, and committing to each other as one team.

We're looking for all the best kinds of people to make great experiences for our players. The best people want a job that inspires them, while giving them room to enjoy their lives. And we want to give them that. We celebrate diversity and inclusion by creating a place where you can come to work and be yourself.

Come join us! We're hiring a Senior Communications Specialist to join EA's Positive Play team.

The Positive Play team exists to help EA players have positive, fun, fair, and safe experiences in our games. We are part of the Experience organization. This position will report to the Director of Player Policy on the player policy team, which focuses on clearly articulating EA's values through messaging, decisions, and processes. What You'll Do

This role will lead our internal communications efforts so that the entire organization understands our strategy, knows our goals, sees the work in progress, and can easily connect with us. You will collaborate across the team to develop communication plans that support the team goals. You like to think about which channels best fit the message and you're a versatile writer with experience drafting all types of content. Primary responsibilities:
• Decide how to deliver our message via internal newsletters, an intranet site + blog, town hall moments, executive talking points, slide presentations, or other channels as needed
• Develop a messaging platform for the team and our leaders
• Manage an editorial calendar so that we're proactive in telling our story
• Write and edit for multiple types of communication using a brand style guide
• Think about how to measure internal comms and start tracking the data
• Attend team meetings to hear about work in progress so you can recommend when and how to communicate it
• Review and give advice on presentations
• Act as a liaison with the Brand, PR, and corporate communications teams
• Help team leadership amplify our work on external social media channels
• Answer email requests for the team to present at cross-functional meetings or respond to questions clarifying what we do

You'll thrive in this role if:
• you can collect bits and pieces of information from various sources to create compelling stories
• you have experience creating an internal network of other communicators and business partners so you understand how messages are being heard
• you can manage your day-to-day tasks and projects while proactively providing updates to your manager on any changes in duration, scope of work, or deadlines
• you don't mind prioritizing (and re-prioritizing) your tasks and projects as we get new requests with tighter deadlines

Qualifications:
• 5 to 10 years' experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related fields
• a degree or education in communications or marketing-related fields are preferred
• experience creating strategic communication plans for both short- and long-term work
• experience using multiple communication channels to tell a story
• the ability to implement and measure communication channels
