We are looking for a Software Engineer (Generalist) - someone with a wide gamut of experience with game technology, game engines, and tools development - to collaborate with our researchers and bring their unique expertise to help deliver our work in the best light, for creating world-class development technology and experiences for our players.

You excel at implementing novel solutions to solve big problems and know how to strike a balance between quality and performance. You love taking the latest and greatest technology and building tools to create solutions for many to do amazing work. You have a full-stack understanding of software development and how elements from the front to the back end must interact to create meaningful, valuable, and easy-to-use software. You understand software engineering practices well and know when to inject some of these principles into today's development environments.

This role is a flexible hybrid onsite role at our EA office in Stockholm, and it offers an opportunity for remote work. You will report to our Generative AI research vector leader.

As a Software Engineer (Generalist) at SEED, you will:
• Bring ideas from the R&D workbench into production-ready technologies that help solve some of the most complex video game challenges, which can then be distributed widely within the company in partnership with central technology initiatives.
• Build demos with the team using the latest research to showcase R&D across AI, content creation, and tools that improve game development.
• You will participate in code refactoring, tech hardening, and code review activities across several projects.
• Be one of the go-to people for tool building and general software engineering development inside a team of accomplished machine learning and AI researchers.
• Promote general software engineering practices within the team by teaching researchers on how to improve code quality, CI/CD, and real-time performance.
• Collaborate with other developers at SEED on projects where your unique expertise will create novelty across SEED's projects that live at the intersection of many domains.
• Collaborate with game teams and central technology groups to understand their requirements better and bring expertise in overlapping areas related to the productization of R&D.

As a diverse team with solid goals, we provide autonomy and true influence to each member of SEED. We are looking for an open and curious person; someone who gets a kick out of taking new ideas, investigating them, and adapting their application to games. You have a desire to explore new areas of game development - someone who is passionate, creative, communicative, and invested.
