• Hands-on coding (C++); requirements gathering and designing new frameworks, platforms, tools and services.
• Work with development and quality verification teams in an Agile Scrum environment to develop, deliver, own and improve reliable tools and platforms.
• Report to the Technical Director
• Collaborate and contribute within a small to medium team of quality analysts, artists and engineers both locally and remotely.
• Oversee, extend and maintain automation frameworks, tools, engine components and processes used across studios.
• Instrumentation, profiling and collection of game runtime metrics.
• Create reusable technologies.
• Measurably improves process and best practices to achieve targets across a small team of engineers.
• Work with a proprietary engine to develop stable, scalable, efficient and shareable code.
• Provide high-level estimates for technical projects.
• 5+ years of professional development experience with OOP Languages, C++ and C#
• 1+ years of professional development experience with scripting languages like Python
• 1+ years of professional experience working with RDB (SQL) and reporting/visualizing large datasets
• Independently creates technical architecture & design documents for large features or systems including high/low-level architecture patterns for solutions' SDKs, APIs, forwards/backwards compatibility, test and telemetry components.
• A solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms, design patterns, test-driven development, CI/CD processes, and data structures
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC processes, software testing best practices and testing methodologies
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Software Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education and work experience
• Experience with iOS or Android software development (or PS4/Xbox console equivalent).
• Experience leading a team to develop software best practices, technical design, test-driven development, code review.
• Experience with AAA game engines (UE4 or Unity)
• Visual scripting languages and Behavior-driven Development practices.
• Holding CSM, CSPO, A-CSPO, PMP or other Agile/Scrum and management certifications

You will be a part of a game development team that aims to always find unique solutions in quality and design through automation and tools. Applying technologies and experiences from EA's automation ecosystem, you will write code to test EA Games using automation frameworks and improve our test automation environment.
You also will write tools which directly support development efforts to produce and ship our games, and advocate for best practices through tools and process.

• In this role your responsibilities would include:
• Ownership and maintenance of studio automation systems, tooling, and processes.
• Design new tooling to support development and QA goals.
• Providing mentorship for other engineers.
• Instrument and tool the product to promote test automation and the collection of runtime metrics.
• Coordination with offsite teams on delivering test automation results, from implementation to execution.
• Maintain test automation scripts and studio device testing hardware.
• Uphold standards through knowledge sharing activities within the EA-wide quality engineering community.
• 5+ years professional experience in C# or Java development.
• 2+ years professional experience developing GUI tools.
• Experience with some scripting languages (e.g., Python).
• Experience with software testing best practices and patterns.
• Experience participating in all aspects of Scrum: planning, daily engagement, and retrospectives.
• Enthusiasm for working with diverse teams and developing tools to solve business important problems.
Experience with Unity 3D engine.
Experience with mobile (iOS or Android) software development (or PS4/Xbox console equivalent) and associated APIs and toolchains.
Experience with Jenkins (or another CI system).
