Description

The CPE team is looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We are seeking candidates with experience in both CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, with high energy, dedication, and passion for technology. We write and maintain various tools to support internal customers - EADP's product, and content teams. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, strong attention to detail, with strong focus on reliability, and a good foundation in programming.

Key Responsibilities
• Work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements
• Create, modify, and maintain pipelines and workflow tools
• Write application code to enhance various tools in the system
• Collaborate with team-mates to maintain and enhance an automation pipeline
• Monitor automation systems and respond to support requests/outages
• Managing virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring containers
• You will monitor and analyze metrics to optimize automation systems
• Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine the feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company products

Technical Skills

We operate in a broad and dynamic technical environment. Candidates with strong experience in DevOps will be well-regarded, and exposure to a range of tools and technologies is a bonus. Foundational programming skills required.
• Source-control administration (eg. Git)
• Configuration Management and Continuous Integration/Deployment
• Cloud deployments (eg. AWS, GCP)
• Container technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
• Infrastructure automation tools (eg. Helm, Terraform, Maven)
• Monitoring Tools (eg. CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Tracing)
• System administration (eg. OSX, Linux)

Ideal Candidate Characteristics
• Great interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate - both in-person and online
• Ability to manage tasks and responsibilities as well as lead and delegate to team members
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify setbacks and shortcomings.
• Active interest in the DevOps movement

Bonus
• Experience with secrets management tools (e.g. Hashicorp Vault)
• Experience with artifact management tools (e.g. JFrog Artifactory)
• Experience with container orchestration and microservice management tools

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
