Job Description

You're the Sr. Manager, System Owners

You are part of EA's Fan Care organization that strives to make EA known for taking care of players.

You will manage a team of System Owners, who are responsible for the overall management and maintenance of all technology systems and services used by Fan Care to help our fans.

You will work with your team to set roadmaps for the systems, balance their workload and empower them to achieve their personal and career goals

You like technology and are not afraid of having deep technical conversations with architects and developers.

You will oversee the health and maintenance of the systems, including the relationships with external vendors.

You will partner with our internal engineering groups to help balance the needs of the business against the needs of the systems infrastructure.

You will partner with the Product Directors embedded in the rest of the Fan Care organization to help support their product roadmaps.

You will be reporting to the Director, of Platforms & Services

A typical day in the life of the Sr. Manager, System Owners
• Manage a team of people with human and technical needs focusing on career development, process improvement and empowerment of the System Owners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, partner teams, vendors and your team to agree on system strategy and desired outcomes
• Explore and learn about the challenges of our internal departments and what their urgent needs are
• Create and communicate system roadmaps & capabilities across all product teams
• Provide support to System Owners during the development process by removing roadblocks, reviewing documentation and driving resolutions from partners
• Manage the system lifecycle process, including the in-take process of new work and system ownership from internal and external partners
• Understand changes made by the product organizations within Fan Care and how those changes impact fans, the Fan Growth organization, Studios and EA
• Measure the health of our systems and report on progress and metrics to our partners
• Measure the progress of our backlogs in JIRA and drive the changes needed to manage them efficiently

You'll love your job THE MOST if you:
• Have 4-7 years of relevant experience in a Technical or Program Management role
• Have 5+ years of experience managing individual contributors
• Like working, and winning, with a broad team
• Enjoy optimizing existing processes and workflows to help empower the System Owners
• Are comfortable discussing technical solutions with architects and other engineering team members
• Can explain complex technical concepts to business users

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $154,800 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,600 - $179,600 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $131,600 - $195,200 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $114,050 - $171,750 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
