The Role:

As a Senior Game Economy Designer on EA Sports FC, you will report to a Game Design Director and work with cross-disciplinary partners to design complex features, balance systems, and deliver tuning that optimizes the player experience. You will partner with data analysts, product managers, and producers to monitor the health of the Ultimate Team economy and find the best ways to evolve it for future Football Club titles. You will work hybrid or fully remote from a location where EA has a legal entity in Europe (more details will be provided in an initial conversation).

What you will do:

Work with producers and product managers to develop designs and tuning plans that deliver on the Ultimate Team creative vision while meeting business needs.
• Become the game design expert on the Ultimate Team economy, providing input on any new feature, system, or content plan that meaningfully impacts how players engage in the economy.
• Critically evaluate the Ultimate Team economy for design improvements and optimizations.
• Lead programs to expand the player experience by evolving existing systems and designing new features that align with the game's creative vision and product goals.
• Support the design group through mentoring in your field of expertise.
• Use data to understand how players engage in the Ultimate Team economy, identify low-hanging-fruit tuning improvements, and propose new opportunity spaces for design exploration.
• Work closely with live content product managers to align on strategic tuning decisions and monitor economic health throughout the year.
• Expand the design team's economy and systems knowledge by sharing best practices, leading discussions, and overseeing execution by other designers.

You also have the following:
• 5+ years experience in game design or similar field, with 3+ years' experience designing complex economies.
• Experience mentoring or managing other designers.
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary partners
• Experience delivering high-quality, error-free spreadsheets (can perform complex functions)
• Ability to work at both the micro and macro level of economy design.
• Enthusiasm for working on a global game enjoyed by tens of millions of players every year!
